About the Journal

ShodhPrabandhan: Journal of Management Studies is a half-yearly, open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing management scholarship and practice across business, public, and non-profit organizations. Publishing in Hindi and English, the journal focuses on how organizations create value, manage people and resources, and respond to technological, economic, and social change.

Our Global Relevance

Each article published in ShodhPrabandhan: Journal of Management Studies contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By focusing on organizational behaviour, human resource management, finance, marketing, operations, supply chain, strategy, and related areas—and by combining theory with practical applications in business, government, and non-profit sectors—the journal helps build more effective, ethical, and sustainable organizations.

ShodhPrabandhan particularly advances:

SDG 4: Quality Education- By equipping students, researchers, and practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to manage and lead organizations, and by serving as a repository of contemporary management research in both Hindi and English.

SDG 5: Gender Equality- Through studies on work–life balance, career success, and labour conditions of women employees, the journal highlights barriers and enablers of women’s participation and advancement in the workforce.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth- By publishing research on human resource management, organizational behaviour, startup success, employee well-being, and sector-specific management practices (e.g., seafarers, steel, professional services), the journal supports productive employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth.

SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure- Through work on regulatory technology, process optimization (such as efficiency in income tax return filing), and the adoption of digital financial tools like mobile banking applications, ShodhPrabandhan informs innovation and stronger financial and administrative infrastructures.

SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities- Research on eco-tourism and homestays, including socio-economic and motivational factors in local communities, contributes to models of sustainable tourism that respect culture, support livelihoods, and strengthen local economies.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production- Studies on sustainable marketing, consumer behaviour in home and kitchen essentials, and impulsive buying behaviour help organizations design more responsible products, campaigns, and retail experiences that align with sustainable consumption patterns.

SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions- By examining regulatory compliance in accounting, audits, and employee training, the journal supports transparent, accountable, and well-governed institutions in both public and private sectors.

We welcome submissions from academics, management professionals, policymakers, consultants, entrepreneurs, and students. By bringing together rigorous research, case studies, and practice-based insights, ShodhPrabandhan fosters evidence-based management that advances sustainable development across industries and societies.
